Baked brie with Cranberry and Walnuts
15-Day Fall Recipe Series: Day 3
This gooey baked brie topped with cranberries and walnuts is the ultimate fall appetizer. It looks fancy but it comes together in just minutes, perfect for holiday entertaining or a cozy night in with a glass of wine.
Ingredients:
1 wheel of brie cheese
1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (lightly toasted for extra flavor)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
Fresh rosemary or thyme springs for garnish (optional)
Crackers, apple slices, or baguette slices for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat oven – preheat to 350*. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper
- Prepare the brie – Place the wheel of brie on the baking sheet. If you’d like, score the top rind with a sharp knife (this helps toppings sink in)
- Top the brie – Spoon cranberry sauce over the top. Sprinkle walnuts evenly, then drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
- Bake – bake 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is soft and melty.
- Serve – transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with rosemary or thyme. Serve with crackers, baguette, or apple wedges.
